I’m opening my home to fellow friends ✔ travelers ✔ business professionals ✔ newcomers to San Diego ✔ LGBTQ+ community members ✔ partners and awesome human beings! Enjoy a stay in the comfort of YOUR OWN private bedroom AND bathroom. Centrally located in San Diego, this cozy place is the perfect spot only 10 minutes to the Bay, Old Town & downtown (Gaslamp & Petco), 15 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to Balboa Park and walking distance to all kinds of trendy restaurants, shops & nightlife. The spaceThis unit is located in a quiet and comfortable apartment occupied by other working professionals like myself who are all respectful of each others' space. I put in a lot of effort to keep my place clean, so you will never have to worry about sleeping in a dirty home. You have full access to my kitchen, dining table and living room where there is a smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video, HBOGO, Youtube, ESPN and more. Although parking may not be the greatest at certain hours of day, this apartment is in walking distance to all kinds of restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, retail shops and trendy places.
Along with your own private bedroom and bathroom, you will have access to my kitchen, dining room table, and living room to utilize the TV, couch, fireplace and coffee table. If you need a place to work, you may use the coffee table and dining table. There is also a coin laundry room (shared with other tenants in apartment) with a washer and dryer that you may use only if needed. To gain access you will need a key that I can provide.
Some common questions that have come up during my stays include the following:
Q: What is the loud water sound that comes from the unit above?
A: The building is rather old, so the insulation is one of it's weaker points. Although very infrequent, that is the sound of running water from their toilet when they fail to properly shut the flush valve.
Q: Can I use your laundry machine?
A: Absolutely! I will need to provide you a key, but the laundry machines $2 (in quarters) for the washing machine and $2 (in quarters) to use the dryer. I personally do not use these laundry machines as I feel a local laundromat provides a much better bang for your buck. I do my laundry at "The Laundry Room" which is located just 5 minutes away on El Cajon Blvd.
Q: What is the temperature of the room like?
A: Between an open window with a breeze & a fan, the room stays nice and cool.Q: Do i have to pay for parking and is parking difficult to find? A: During traffic hours, parking can be more difficult to find. Parking is free all along 9th ave, 8th ave, 7th ave and even in the lot where Trader Joes & Ralphs are. However, if you find parking on University Ave then it is most likely meter parking. If you find it extremely difficult to find parking, I allow my guests to take my single parking spot on the very right side of the driveway.
Q: Do I need to pay for the drinks & snacks in the room? A: No, it is free & on the house!Q: Is the area safe?
A: Yes, the area is very safe and houses young working class citizens like you and I. There are some lingering homeless people in the area, but there are homeless people all throughout California. The neighborhood is very low crime and extremely lively throughout the week with tons of activities to do!
Q: Is there a market nearby?
A: Yes there is a Ralphs, Trader Joes, CVS & Whole Foods all within 5 minutes walking distance.
Q: My flight as arriving very late. Is it ok if I check in after 11pm?
A: Yes, my check-in window is very flexible. The process is self check-in so I will provide very in depth details on how to access the unit.
