Bedroom in Beautiful Renovated Bronx House

About the space

Seeking a housemate for a sunny, spacious, newly renovated home in the Bronx, with in-unit washer/dryer and large backyard. House is conveniently located on a residential street in University Heights very close to the subway (4mins to 4 train and buses, 9mins to B/D trains) and allows easy access to both Manhattan and Bronx sites of interest (Fordham University, Lehman/Monroe/Bronx Community Colleges, NY Botanical Garden, Bronx Zoo, Yankee Stadium, Bronx Night Market). This area has a ton of bodegas, gyms, parks, retail/grocery options, and we have great neighbors! Housemates are a diverse mix of students and young professionals (4-5 when the house is full). The home environment is laidback with value placed on community, hospitality, cleanliness, and conscientiousness about healthy practices amidst the pandemic. House norms also include not having significant others spend the night in bedrooms. The house is large with most bedrooms ranging from 18x8ft to 14x12ft. Bedroom A is approx 22x11ft, and rent is $925. Bedroom B is approx 14x16ft, and rent is $875. Bedroom A is a fully private room for $925/month that is available starting September 1st (photos #3-4). The other is a "railroad style" bedroom for $875/month (photos #5-10) that is available August 1st. Another housemate needs to walk through the railroad style bedroom to get to her bedroom, so we are looking for a female for this room. Either bedroom can be furnished for an additional $50/month upon request. Internet is usually $20 per person; gas/electric has been around $40 when the weather is nice but rises during the winter months. Additional information: common spaces (kitchen, bathrooms, living/dining room) are shared, no smoking/drugs, no pets. First month's rent, last month's rent, and security deposit are requested at move-in.
