About the space
The North Nashville neighborhood is a transitioning neighborhood. It is a mix of new construction homes, low income housing, new residents, and elderly people who have lived here their entire lives. If you have concerns, please research the neighborhood or ask questions before booking.
This is a garage apartment over our attached garage. It is accessible by the alley (you can see this in some of the photos), and our previous guests have parked on the garage apron. It is completely separate from the house, with it's own bathroom and kitchen. We're located a mile from Germantown and the Farmers Market, a few miles from downtown, and a quick drive to many other areas of town. There are many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and places to shop within a 10-15 min drive. Vanderbilt is also between 10-15 min away, and St Thomas Midtown and Centennial hospitals are less than a 10 min drive.
We rarely use the garage for parking or working, but we do use the garage for working out once or twice per day. We are respectful of our guests, but there may be some noise transfer.
My favorite things about living here are mostly food related. I love Slim and Husky (which is only a half mile away!). I love being a quick drive to West Nashville which has Target, Publix, and other shopping/restaurants. We're less than 10 min from 51st Ave in the Nations, which has great restaurants and coffee shops (Frothy Monkey, Red Bicycle, and Brightside Bakeshop are a few faves). We're a mile from the trailhead for the most beautiful greenway in Nashville. We often drive to the trailhead and walk with the kids, but I also love to run the entire greenway loop which, from our house, is about 7.5 miles. We're a quick drive to Bearded Iris and Fat Bottom Breweries, and so close to downtown, the Sounds Stadium, and the Titans Stadium.
