About the space
The House:
This is a large house with four bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have king beds and the smaller bedroom has a trundle bed with two twin beds. There are 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and the second full bath serves for the other bedrooms upstairs. There is a full bath on the first floor as well.
This house has a modern kitchen with high end stainless steel appliances, and a large dining room. This house is newly renovated with an open floor plan. The living room has pocket doors allowing you to close off the room, converting it to a private bedroom with a convertible sofa bed. The full bathroom is just a few steps away from the living room and has doors opening, to both, the dining room and the hallway.
There is a LED Smart TV with HBO, Netflix and other apps plus a 3D Blue-ray, DVD player also with smart apps in the living room. We have WIFI and live streaming RoKu included in the package.
There is a separate two bedroom ground level apartment (no stairs) with its own kitchen and a full bath. The ground level apartment sleeps at maximum 6 people, which is rented separately, but could be rented together with the upstairs unit adding to the capacity of the house.
The Location: The location is very convenient to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center which is located above the Mount Vernon Metro station. The Convention Center is about a 15 minute walk to/from the house!
The Shaw Metro station is 3 blocks to the apartment. The largest grocery store in DC (Giant Foods) is about a 10-15 minutes walk on P and 8th street.
