About the space
Welcome to our garden retreat in the heart of Seattle! With three bedrooms, an office overlooking the garden, and a full kitchen, this space is great for visiting families, small groups, or professionals seeking a cozy, quiet home surrounded by nature. Two blocks from the main bus lines to downtown or the University District, a 5-minute walk to the Arboretum and Japanese Garden, and a few blocks to a score of top-notch restaurants. Great access to all that Seattle has to offer.
This is a 900 square foot full house nestled in Madison Valley. The house features three bedrooms, one bathroom, full kitchen with a gas range, washer/dryer, and a tankless water heater. The office has views into the backyard and garden, including a desk with a widescreen monitor. Extended stays are welcome with significant discounts available.
The entire house and yard are available to our guests.
I am available via phone and email to help during your stay, and I will not be on premises while guests are present.
Madison Valley is a hidden gem in Seattle, green and serene with easy access to several parks, including the Arboretum. Adjacent to Capitol Hill, a 10-minute bus ride or Lyft away. The #8 and #11 bus lines pick up frequently a few blocks away towards downtown and Capitol Hill.
There are fantastic restaurants within a few blocks:
- For breakfast/lunch: Essential Bakery Coffee shop or Cafe Flora for vegetarian brunch
- For dinner: Cafe Flora, Bar Cantinetta, Harvest Vine, Luc, Araya's Place, Voila Bistro, and Nishino Sushi
From the airport, taking the Link light rail to Mt. Baker Transit Center and then the #8 bus will bring you within a few blocks of the house. This also works work for getting back to the airport.
Lyft, Uber, and Car2Go are very prevalent in our area. There is one street parking spot in front of the house if you rent a car. This is a quiet neighborhood and very safe. At the corner of Madison St. and 27th, you can catch buses downtown, every 10 minutes or so.
